I am a rare native of the Atlanta area. I was born at Northside Hospital and have lived in the Northeast Metro area my entire life. I attended high school at the “Big Orange Jungle” (Parkview H.S.) and earned two (2) undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia. I am the father of five (5) wonderful children and I am the husband of the strongest, most beautiful woman I have ever had the pleasure to know. I have known that wonderful lady since the day she moved into my neighborhood in 1980.
I have walked many different paths throughout my professional career. I have held positions in construction management, project estimation, project bidding, field work, field engineering, electronics, and personnel management. Also, I have been somewhat of a jack of all trades in terms of my interests and hobbies. I enjoy sports of all kinds, I paint, I draw, and I love to sing karaoke. When the opportunity to change the direction of my professional career presented itself, I decided that I wanted a career that would be able to meet my diversity of interest. Helping with my decision was the maxim that the government is not going to stop making laws. So, I turned my interests to the law and I entered law school.
I graduated from the College of Law at Georgia State University in 2016, where I participated in the HeLP Clinic during the final year of school. I also interned at Browning and Smith, a family law firm in Marietta, Georgia. I was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2016 and I joined the law firm of Bart Patterson & Associates, LLC in October of that same year. I focus my interests at study, and in practice, on family law and child advocacy. I am a member of the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association and the Family Law Section and Child Protection & Advocacy Section of the State Bar. I practice as an associate Special Assistant Attorney General and I am also available to provide representation in all areas of family law, construction law, and general civil litigation. My goal as an attorney is to have a positive influence on my clients’ matters and in their lives.
